Southeastern Med welcomed Thomas M. Picklow, MD, FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons), to Cambridge in 2008. Dr. Picklow joined the office of Cliff Maximo, MD and delivers the latest in quality urological medical services to Cambridge residents and the surrounding areas.
For the prior 15 years, before joining Southeastern Med, Dr. Picklow had been in private practice delivering urology services to the Cleveland and Youngstown, Ohio areas where he attended to nearly 6,000 patients a year. Dr. Picklow has extensive training and experience in utilizing the latest laser surgery techniques in the field of urology. He has an impressive list of professional memberships, published works, and urological-related presentations that he brings to our community.
Dr. Picklow earned his undergraduate degree from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio and his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. Dr. Picklow completed surgery and urology residencies at the University of Cincinnati where he was Chief Resident from 1992 to 1993.
Dr. Picklow is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is Board Certified in Urology. Being Board Certified means that Dr. Picklow has completed an approved educational training program and an evaluation process including an examination designed to assess the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to provide quality patient care in his specialty.
Dr. Picklow treats adult male and female patients ages 18 and older for such urological conditions as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate; kidney stones; and blood in the urine. He performs medical and surgical treatments ranging from kidney stone management and no-incision vasectomies to various laser procedures.
